BIG BASH INFO

Hello 5th Grade Parents!
Graduation is less than 3 months away... it's time for our Parent Meeting NEXT TUESDAY 2/27 to plan your child's 5th GRADE BASH celebration (put on by parents).  The Bash will be Friday, May 18th from 11:00-2:00pm.
Your student is excited for you to be a part of this annual tradition at MBES for each 5th grade class... it takes many hands (both in advance and volunteering) at this FUN EVENT, so mark your calendar NOW!
Please note these two upcoming dates to get involved:
1.  LAST Biscuit Sale fundraiser this week (return forms by Thursday) - NEED 2-3 MORE HELPERS THIS FRIDAY 2/23 MORNING
If you are available to help with Biscuit Delivery THIS FRIDAY for 30 minutes at 8:00am, please sign up under "2/23/18Distribution" at this Sign Up Genius link:
2.  5th Grade PARENT BASH PLANNING MEETING: Tuesday, February 27th, 6:30pm @MBES Media Center.
This will be our only meeting for ALL parents to help start planning, brainstorming, dividing up into different areas to work on for the 5th Grade Bash held on Graduation Day (Friday, May 18th)!  After this meeting, most work will be done via email and/or if any of the "areas" want to get together to finalize details.  If you can not make the meeting, please send an email to Lora@DCSApplications.com if you want to head up or simply help out in a certain area, such as:
-field day shirt fundraiser,
-food,
-games/entertainment,
-photo booth,
-"day of" volunteer (need lots!),
-crazy hair booth,
-decorations/signage.
It's going to be a special day for our kids and we will need lots of parent involvement!  On Friday, May 18th we'll have everything from set-up volunteers that morning starting at 8:00 to volunteering at one of two shifts during the PARTY (11-12:30 or 12:30-2:00).  If you can't help that day, there are definitely ways to help out prior to event! Come learn more on February 27th... your child will really appreciate everyone putting this together!  :-)
Thanks so much,
Lora Clausen, 5th Grade Bash Volunteer
(Matthew's mom)
