*“Story Patch” Pumpkins Have Arrived*
Each class has created a “Story Patch” character.  Vote for your favorite pumpkin character 10/26 – 11/3, 1¢ = 1 vote! Winners will be announced on 11/3 during      Family Literacy Night.
*Battle of the Books is Beginning*
If you have a 3rd, 4th or 5th grader, Battle of the Books information will be coming home soon!  It is a competition of the mind!
*Storybook Character Parade 10/30*
Students and Teachers: Come to school dressed as your favorite storybook character on Friday, October 30th!  We will have a school-wide Storybook Character Parade starting at 8:00am.
*Read My Shirt Day 11/3*
Wear a shirt with words on it during the day, then come to                                          Family Literacy Night that night!
*Read, White and Blue Day 11/11*
Come to school on 11/11 dressed in Red, White and Blue in honor of Veteran’s Day.  We will be reading books about national heroes, symbols and events.
*DEAR Day - Drop Everything And Read 11/17*
Come dressed in your pajamas and bring your favorite bedtime story.  We will be stopping everything and reading as a school from 7:50-8:05 today.
