Hello Parents! This email has a lot of details, so we have also sent it as an attachment if easier for you to read...
It's your child's last days at MBES - are you ready to help celebrate with the annual 5th Grade Bash?!? We have some Hollywood-sized F-U-N planned and hope you might even be able to join in the festivities...
Event Details:
-Celebrity Bash 2015 - Walking the Red Carpet to MBMS
-Wednesday, May 20th 11:00am-2:00pm on the "MBES Studios" Front Lawn
-Set-up: 7:50-8:20, break for Graduation and Awards, then finish setting up at 10:00am
-Overview: Your child will be the "S-T-A-R" with Lunch / Drinks / T-shirt provided, a fabulous DJ, "Survivor" Inflatables, "ESPN Sports Zone" Games, "Glam Cam" Photo Booth, "Extreme Makeover" Hair, Door Prizes, and much more...
-Cost: If you have not already, please send in your $10 donation per child to cover lunch, party expenses, and also all teachers gifts for 5th grade staff.
Note: We have lunch provided only for students/ 5th grade teachers, so feel free to pack a light lunch for you. We will have plenty of drinks available for all parents! Note: No siblings that are students at MBES will be at the party (they will need to stay with their own grade for the day) - just the 5th graders will be attending this BASH!
Volunteer Sign-up List - We need lots of helpers:
There are plenty of ways to be involved even if you can't attend or are only going to be at the school in the morning for Graduation! Click on this link to see options and times (instructions for sign-up on the website):
We need help with games / food areas (and a few grillers) and have two "shifts" available: 10:30-12:30 or 12:30-2:20. Please feel free to sign up for one (or great if you can work both shifts) as it is a terrific way to "hang out" at party and still interact with your child and their friends! If you can't attend the party, perhaps you have a tent you can loan us or can help with set-up from 7:50-8:20 before you attend the graduation ceremony or afterwards from 10-11? The more, the merrier and we really appreciate any help you can give as it takes a lot of hands to make this party happen! We also are in need of a couple parents to be our official "hot dog grillers" - pls sign up (we have a "professional" grill and all supplies already)!
ALL FUN, No Experience needed:
Pls note that none of the games, inflatables, picture, hair, or food areas need any "skill" - just a smiling face. You will get any instructions you need when checking in at DJ booth at either 10:30am or 12:25 pm. There will be some "down time" at every area, so we know you will have a WONDERFUL time joining in your child's final hours at the school! :-)
What to Bring to Homeroom By Monday 5/18 inc washed RED Bash T-shirt: Please have your child bring a Beach Towel for breaks, their own reusuable WATER BOTTLE (labeled with their name) for use at our Celebrity Hydration Station, and please wash and return their RED dri-fit 5th Grade Bash T-shirt. Mrs. Warren suggested bringing all these by Monday 5/18, so all set for Bash. On the last day of school, they will wear nice graduation clothes and then pack shorts/tennis shoes for changing into after the ceremony (and homeroom teachers will give them back their red shirts at that time).
Any Questions??? Contact any of the Area Coordinators (emails listed below).
