Science: Stupid Mosquitoes!

Last week I brought in some pond water to grow some microorganisms. We looked at the water under the microscope and saw lots of microbes. I let the water sit in the window for a week just like every year, and then we looked again today. Normally we see monumentally more and larger microorganisms, but not today. We couldn't find any. I was frustrated and confused. The only difference this year was that I had lots of mosquito larvae in the pond water sample. Well, guess what I learned online? That's right, mosquito larvae eat microorganisms and effectively filter the water.
I hate mosquitoes. They are either biting me or they are messing up my science experiments.
I will bring in another jar of water and try again next week.

Wordly Wise: Lesson 3B write the sentence.
