Orion and Cago Visit 5th grade!

Sgt. Partain and Deputy Williams

Orion being very good even though his ball is inches from his nose.

Orion getting to play as a reward after finding the narcotics.

Cago getting ready to work.

Cago telling the "bad guy" to stop.

Cago showing us what happens if the "bad guy" does not listen.

Today we had 4 special guests visit the 5th grade to bring to a conclusion to our CHAMPS unit.  Sgt. Partain and Deputy Williams brought their dogs Orion and Cago for a demonstration on narcotics search and seizure and perpetrator detainment.  Students got to see trained "drug" dogs in action searching out marijuana and apprehending a violent criminal. It was WAY COOL!!!! I bet there will be great dinner conversation tonight!

A huge thank you to these hard working police officers (dogs included) for taking time out of their busy day to come see us, to Deputy Marchman for once again teaching a great CHAMPS session and organizing the special visit, to Mrs. Payne for allowing drugs to be hidden in her library for a short period of time, and for Christopher Umana-Cruz who documented the visit through pictures.
