9/6/12

Warren Math:
  • Re quiz on Writing Expressions will be next Tuesday.  Please use the old test in Friday Folders to review.
Reading:
  • Test on different types of genres will be next Tuesday.  Please use the blue notes in the Reader's Notebook to study from.  You will need to match definition to genre and also read short stories and identify what genre they are from based on clues in the stories. 
  • Quiz on Figurative Language (simile, metaphor, personification, onomatopoeia only for now) Tuesday as well.  Please use notes in Tiger Rising "booklet" to help you study. 
Social Studies:
  • Continuing to work on events, people and causes of Civil War.

    Here's my "take away" from Mr. Arnold's cell project: pouring hot jello on top of a $12 cookie cake is probably NOT a good idea. The cookie cake disintegrated, creating "floaties" in the "cytoplasm," and the 5th grade "scientist" had a complete melt down. Hopefully, cell #2 makes the grade.
